Wednesday 4 June:Nowadays I'm playing online poker at Pokerstars.com. My favorite levels range from 200NL to 600NL. I usually play the big tournaments each Sunday and the freerolls available for Supernova players but I haven't scored big lately. You can check my Tournament Performance Gallery.
You can find me playing in the Poker Rooms using the following aliases:
Since my
last blog entry almost 2 months ago, I have been playing poker a lot and also
started a new website with a friend of mine. I have lost interest in publishing
my poker results apart from the tournament ones, because I don't see how that
would be beneficial for my blog's readers. I'd rather post informative articles
which would be useful for anyone who wants to improve his poker skills or for
any newbie discovering this game nowadays.
I also met
a couple of Betfair employees who happen to have become good friends of mine
and we get to meet now and then. This time we didn't discuss something specific
but we more or so talked about the latest happenings in the gambling area.
Maybe it's because I have stopped trading the UK Horse racing markets in Betfair
and I have also abandoned all my betting activities, since poker consumes the
vast majority of my time. That may come as a surprise for most of my blog's
visitors, who keep on emailing me asking for betting or trading advice.
Certainly I haven't forgotten the gains or pitfalls of sports betting or
trading and I believe I can be of some help to anyone who tries them. However,
playing poker for so many hours and having read a lot of forum topics while
watching innumerous coaching videos mean that I have fresher knowledge and
information about poker than trading.
Betfair is the world's leading betting exchange, a concept it pioneered.
All bets on Betfair are placed there by users who either want to bet for a selection or outcome in the normal way (back), or bet against a selection or outcome (lay). Bets are matched between people with opposing views. Since Betfair was launched in June 2000 it has become the largest online betting company in the UK and the largest bet exchange in the world. Betfair currently has over 1,000,000 clients and a turnover in excess of £50m/week. In addition to the exchange Betfair has an established games portfolio, including Betfair Poker, Betfair Casino and a number of exchange-enabled games.
Betfair is a licensed bookmaker in the UK. It also has licences in Australia, Malta, Austria and Germany.
