It is only a week until the Greek Elections and yesterday the famous debate took place on tv. Five party leaders answered questions made by known reporters of several Greek television channels. This is a good example to see how prices and in particular fixed betting odds are influenced by news, rumours and actual events.

This is the photo I showed you two days ago before the debate happened. Notice that Nea Dimokratia was available to back at 1.30.

Now,  these are the available odds at the time of writing.

Now Costas Karamanlis (Nea Dimokratia that is) is trading at 1.27. So, if we believed that the Prime Minister would eventually make a good impression in the debate yesterday, we could have backed at 1.30 and today we could secure a profit by laying at 1.28.

Surely, the liquidity isn't there and the movement is minimal. However, we see how we can make money by following the events closely.
