Betting on the UK show Celebrity Big Brother 2010 is available as a special bets market in Betfair. Big Brother is the most popular betting market among other special bets in UK or in any other country, and that is why I selected it for a betting tip. Alex Reid is the big favorite at the time of writing, followed by Dane Bowers. Can Vinnie Jones turn things around though and come out winner of the reality show? The answer may be hidden in the betting charts. Who's for a betting prediction?

First of all I know absolutely nothing about the Big Brother show. We happened to have such a show quite a few years ago here in Greece but I never watched it. Now, I came across the show in UK but this time it is called the Celebrity Big Brother. Since it is the first time I write about the Celebrity Big Brother UK, I'll be including a little more information about the show, apart from the betting tips and graphs.

Alex Reid seems like the big favorite of the reality show. Here is a short summary of his profile from Channel4 official website:

Named after Alexander the Great, cage fighter Alex is currently dating model Katie Price. Fighting under the names of Reidenator and The Detanator, he is trained in numerous martial arts including ‘Vale Tudo’ which he describes as “as near as you can get to total mayhem in a controlled environment” Alex’s first cage fighting experience came at ‘Extreme Brawl’ in 1998, while his lifetime ambition is to be Middleweight Champion of the world.

Alex Reid is almost 1.5 to 1 (2.32 decimal betting odds) to win the Celebrity Big Brother UK 2010 and the Betfair betting graph shows that he used to be a huge outsider but has done a great comeback! The graph's peak was 70.0 which means that someone will be winning 70 times his bet if Alex is going to win! Of course he can trade out sooner to secure the profit but nevertheless his betting graph is outstanding. Great opportunities for betting and trading in Betfair with all that odds movement!

As far as my betting tip on Alex Reid, I am in favor of backing him. There was a support level verification at 20.0 which pushed the odds lower and once again at 10.0 after they broke the resistance level around 9.0. Nothing seems to be able to stop the downtrend of the betting odds and until I see a reversal sign, I will be backing.

Dane Bowers' odds on the other hand seems to lose steam, although the betting graph is once again astonishing! Before I go on, here is a summary of his profile from Channel4 website:

Born in Croydon, Dane attended the BRIT School of Performing Arts. As a member of band Another Level he achieved seven top ten singles. After the group split in 2000, Dane fronted the UK garage act Truesteppers, who had a hit with "Out Of Your Mind" featuring the first solo outing of Victoria Beckham.

My betting tip regarding Dane Bowers is to lay. The betting odds fell to 2.00 and they bounced back to 3.65 while the volume of the bets increased, a sign of the trend's ending. It might be a close one between him and Alex, but this graph doesn't seem as promising as Alex' one.

Last but not least comes Vinnie Jones. He comes as the third favorite for the Celebrity Big Brother winner but he was once the big favorite. His betting odds had touched even 1.50 before they took off to 8.0! Here is his profile:

Infamous for distracting Paul Gascoigne by grabbing his testicles in a game against Tottenham, Vinnie was sent off 12 times in his career and still holds the record for the fastest ever booking - receiving a yellow card after just three seconds.  He retired from the game in 1999.

After football, his great passion is acting and in 1998 he made his successful debut as ‘Big Chris' in Guy Ritchie's hit film, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, for which he received an Empire award.  Hollywood soon beckoned and Vinnie appeared in a variety of films including Gone in Sixty Seconds, Swordfish, Mean Machine and X-Men: The Last Stand.

That was a big surprise for me! I really didn't know he was a football player! I know him from the movies, which I enjoy watching him acting in. It's a pity though that he doesn't seem to win the Big Brother UK show. Maybe predicting that he will be evicted before the final episode of the show may sound unsafe, but the betting odds' graph doesn't leave much to the imagination. Every resistance level that could prevent the drift has been broken and honestly I don't know what can happen to turn things around. For that reason, I'm not tipping Vinnie to win the Celebrity Big Brother show.

Before I complete this article, I must remind you, especially the Big Brother fans, that I'm not aware of any event that took place in the past and had that impact to the betting odds of the contestants, let alone of the show's rules. I frankly don't know when the show will be ending and how the voting process is going on. I just look at the betfair betting graphs and make my decision, whether I should back or lay, just as I do in trading the UK horse racing markets.
