Jimmakos.com Gambling BlogGoogle Adsense has just sent me an email informing that they are disabling ad serving to my gambling blog, since they found violations of Google AdSense policies on a couple of pages in my gambling site. According to google adsense marketing, AdSense publishers are not permitted to place Google ads on sites with content related to gambling or casinos. That is strange, since they have introduced some changes in their policies recently including gambling related websites and blogs. That is also the reason xPublisher Gambling Advertising have closed down two months ago, as they couldn't compete with Google AdSense following the recent events. Fortunately a check has been issued on 22th of June by Google Adsense. I would hate to see Google keep my revenue, although monetizing a gambling blog with Google Ads isn't that efficient in comparison with other affiliate schemes and advertising deals.

While using xPublisher's ad servicing was performing better than Google Ads in my gambling blog, I had to move to Google AdSense since xPublisher closed down and sold to William Hill. At least that's where you are redirected if you visit their website. Anyway, Google AdSense is also history for my gambling blog now, but I am not disappointed. Private selling blog space is much more efficient and a lot more profitable since there isn't a middle man and the blogger can keep all the revenue to himself. Besides you can close much better advertising deals when communicating directly to the advertiser than having a contextual advertising solution such as Google Ads.

Making money with Google AdSense also involves recieving checks and that could be a pain when cashing it out. Almost all advertisers pay in advance and they use mostly Paypal, while Moneybookers is also an alternative. Monetizing my gambling blog for about a year now I have done 24 advertising deals at Jimmakos.com and 16 more to another gambling site and I have no compaints to report. Most advertisers are professionals and know how the market works. The advertising deals are usually 3 to 6 months deals, although there have been deals that are prepaid for a whole year. So, if you are a gambler, own a gambling blog and you are interested in making money from your blog, I would recommend getting in contact with advertisers and selling your blog's space. Alternatively you can register an account with Linkworth which I'm using for a year and have no issues, besides the charged commission (30%). However no payment has been delayed during these months. And I'm not talking about checks, the money is transferred to your Paypal account on the 10th of each month.

Returning to Google Adsense , my Google AdSense account is not disabled at this point. I may keep using it to monetize other websites which obviously are not related to gambling. I won't risk another warning since it may be the last one. I know of quite a few bloggers that make a lot money with Google AdSense but I guess I won't be one of them in the future. At least not by monetizing my gambling blog. Maybe I find an innovative idea for a website and Google Ads make the most out of it. Until then I am more than happy to quit Google AdSense in my sports blog and continue doing business with professional advertisers.
