How was my gambling blog's traffic in 2009? According to Google Analytics my gambling blog was visited more than 71,000 times, each visitor viewed 2.71 pages, they usually stayed for less than 4 minutes and more than half of the visitors came from search engines! My blog's average bounce rate was about 60% and 62% of the blog's traffic were new visitors. Here are the traffic statistics of my trading, betting and poker blog for 2009.
Blogging in 2009 was fun as I tried to inform my gambling blog's readers about online poker, sports betting and trading, both in Betfair and financial markets. My blog's stats prove that I must have done something right since I experienced a traffic increase in comparison with 2008 stats. Most of my blog's visitors came from Greece, then UK and USA while search engines and Google in particular sent me the most traffic. The traffic spike in September was due to a couple of posts regarding the Greek Elections, a fine example of how to increase your blog's traffic in days.

Other than that, the front page was seen almost 30,000 times which means more than 2,000 impressions per month and the most viewed category was surely "Betfair Trading". Average monthly pageviews exceeded 16,000 and my link exchange efforts returned over 23% of the total blog's traffic.

I expect much better figures in 2010 as long as I keep up with my gambling blog and even better ranking in search engines. I hope everyone's blog performed well in 2009 and don't forget to set your own 2010 gambling and blogging goals.
