Wednesday 4 June:Nowadays I'm playing online poker at Pokerstars.com. My favorite levels range from 200NL to 600NL. I usually play the big tournaments each Sunday and the freerolls available for Supernova players but I haven't scored big lately. You can check my Tournament Performance Gallery.
You can find me playing in the Poker Rooms using the following aliases:
I 've made my few first steps in Hold'em (betfair) with no success. Do you believe that somenone must have an external app to help him in decisions? Are you afraid of bots from other players or do you think it is not an issue?
I 've read a few books, do you have any suggestion about a specific one?
Thank you and keep up the good work and the profits coming kardasi!
Hi! So it's true, Chemical Engineers can work everywhere! When they told us so in university, I'm sure they didn't think of gambling! Lol!
About poker bots, I am sure there are but I wouldn't worry about them. They can be as good as their programmer. A poker bot cannot turn a bad player to a winning player. Besides, the majority of them usually play limit poker (in fact low limit) and the few No-Limit bots that exist, don't play in limits beyond 50NL. I could be mistaken of course, but rumors say that there aren't medium-high stakes NL winning poker bots. Google "Winholdem" and take a look at the first result. On the other hand, if you watch a bot carefully, it can be exploitable unless it is extremely sophisticated.
I would recommend reading the Harrington's books. While they focus on tournament play, they are excellent in learning the basics about betting and correct way of thinking. Other that that, there are good books by Sklansky, Ed Miller and Phil Gordon but I suggest you read forums and watch instructional poker videos. There are huge value in them and I would highly recommend twoplustwo.com forum.
Additionally, you should consider using a tracking software in order to track your performance and find leaks in your game. I use Pokertracker myself.
Thank you for your kind works and good luck at the tables!
