Tips for your Betting Blog! So, you want to design or already have a gambling blog. You post your experiences in sports betting, trading, online poker, casino games, anything that's gambling really. Friends and relatives don't understand your passion and you need to get in touch with people that share the same passion. Great, how do you find them and more importantly how they find you?

1. Content is king. Yes, yes, I know, you have heard it a million times. People will find and visit your site if they find something new and interesting to read. Regarding gambling, most readers seek that valuable information that will eventually turn them from losing to winning. That may be general advice, tips, tutorials or latest breaking news that they haven't heard of and most of the world is unaware of. You probably have a winning betting strategy and want to give away tips, perhaps you trade using a charting method you have designed yourself and need to brag about it and share some more info about it, you may thought of an original idea on how to beat the dealer in casinos and seek for some suggestions or partnerships. It really is up to you what your blog or website will add to the gambling cyberspace. However, make it stand out from the crowd.

2. Public relations is queen! If you are living in a crystal ball and don't communicate with other gamblers, most probably will end up having only one reader, yourself. In the world of gambling there is a lot of competition, no argument there. On the other hand, you are writing the blog in order to get closer to people that have the same hobby or full-time job. Learn from them, advise them and be a part of a community that usually is misunderstood. Post some comments to other blogs, invite visitors to read a special article you recently wrote and perhaps set up a happening to your blog that will get more people to your place.

3. Good blog design will keep visitors inside. Certainly we aren't there to admire your designing skills, we care mostly for your betting or trading posts. Yet, a bad layout will drive us away, we won't find it easy to click on your links, and would make us have a second thought before visiting again your work. You don't need to design a state of the art blog, an acceptable layout would do the job.

4. Publish your blog to other places. Blog aggregators, news feeders, gambling forums, all these are traffic sources. Don't hesitate sending your posts to other gambling-related sites, that way you will get much more attention and win one or two more visitors. Get your blog in technorati, digg your best posts from time to time and promote your RSS feed with feedburner.

5. Search engines optimization or SEO. There are a lot of articles discussing this matter, you most probably have already read about this. I will just share an experience I had lately. While I am posting for some years now in Jimmakos.com, I didn't get more than 60 visitors per day. There were 2-3 days that my website appeared to some big forum or site and tripled that number, but other than that, I didn't have such a big audience. Although my goal wasn't to be that well known, it is nice to see people visiting your work. 10 days ago I wrote about Arbitrage Sports Betting and I did that based on the Greek elections which are due this Sunday. Since that post, my blog's traffic didn't ever fall below 300 unique visitors per day and I'm still getting 100 or more visitors from Google searching for the term "bet greek elections" and alternatives of this. That fact made me rethink about the whole website promoting idea and researched a bit more on that. I suggest you do the same if you want your blog to get noticed by more and more people.
