Pokerland.gr is one of the few online poker communities based in Greece and their first online poker tournament has just finished. The $20+2 Freezeout tournament was scheduled in Poker.gr (OnGame Poker network) and I finished 1st out of about 50 players. Playing against known Greek forum members was fun but also stressful as everyone wanted to make it to the poker forum’s headlines the next day! I just hope I can repeat that once more in the following Mondays the poker tournament will take place.

The Pokerland.gr Weekly Online Poker Tournaments will be held by Poker.gr every Monday at 20:30 local time. Since it is a restricted to Greek people tournament, it won’t interest some of my sports blog’s readers. However, given the fact I include all the poker hands of the tournament for you to watch a replay of the game, I guess there is some sort of educational value to this article. Two interesting points of my play was when I folded 88’s from the blinds against a button shove and of course the inevitable big suckout a player must have in order to win a poker tournament.
