Greek Poker Tour Next Stop: Vienna GPT 5
Poker - Poker Tournaments
Wednesday, 20 August 2008 07:32

Greek Poker Tour (GPT) 5 will be conducted at the Concord Card Casino in Vienna, Austria between 10-12 October. There have already been 4 Greek Poker Tours, which were all hosted by Apollonia Casino in Gevgelija, FYROM. There will be 2 more GPTs until May 2009 but details haven’t been announced. The live poker tournaments have attracted the attention of regular Greek poker players and we expect to see an even bigger participation in this Greek Poker Tour. I may also be there!

GPT 5: Vienna - Greek Poker TourTranslated from official GPT host, pokerunion.gr:

"Concord Card Casino is situated in the beautiful capital of Austria, Vienna. Travelling by airplane takes only 2 hours and the casino is just 10 minutes away from the Vienna’s airport. The ease of travelling there and the relative not expensive travelling package (€250 air tickets and hotel accommodation) in comparison to other poker rooms we examined, made us choose Vienna over other destinations.

It is not that Aviation Club in Paris wasn’t good. They just didn’t accept sponsors and the free seats would be non-existent. Dusk Till Dawn would be an attractive host for the GPT, but travelling to Nottingham would not only require 3 hours by train and 3.5 hours by airplane, but also would be expensive.

So, this year we go to Vienna. Our target and ambition is the upgrade of the GPT hosting location and of the tournament itself. We honestly believe that an exclusive Greek live poker tournament in a famous country for poker will have the word spread beyond the borders. Many Greeks live abroad. A big Greek Poker Tour in the center of Europe would hopefully get the attention of those Greeks as well so that we see our friendly party grow even more.

See you all in Vienna! This GPT’s motto is: “Greek don’t live only in Greece”!”

The buy-in for GPT hasn’t yet be known but considering that it has been around €400 for the past Greek Poker Tours, I expect to see a little bigger buy-in for Vienna GPT. More announcements about the GPT are expected and I’ll keep you informed.

It was a really awesome event and I think such events should be arranged again and again.I think such events really very much helpful for promoting entertaining activities. Most of people love to play poker just for enjoyment but not earning money.I could never be a healthy activity for losing money online.Have you ever used backup software for storing your online activities during playing games.
