The replacement of my old phone is a new Sony Ericsson Xperia phone, called X10 mini pro. It is an Xperia phone based on Google Android mobile software and although Bluetooth issues exist and no Outlook sync option is available, I'm quite satisfied by my smartphone mobile. It is fast, easy to use and best of all I love its looks. The main reason to buy this Xperia mini pro phone was the size, while the mobile wireless features, Google applications and the keyboard certainly helped making up my mind.

I have used a dual monitor setup for 3 years before I setup a quad monitor arrangement on my desk. I am still using an Asus P5W Deluxe motherboard with an Intel E6600 Core 2 Duo CPU and 6 GB of RAM. Two hard disks, a Western Digital Raptor and a 500GB one, keep my files in place and a 750W Silverstone power supply unit keep everything running. My graphics card has been an ATI 1950XTX since the beginning of my build in 2006, which has been accompanied by an ATI 5770, that drives 3 of the monitors. I have finally received my new 24'' Dell monitors this morning and have just finished installing my quad monitor setup! Everything seems to be working fine and the new monitors are in excellent condition. I liked the touch buttons on the right and the Preset Modes, currently Adobe RGB selected. Packaging was very good and all in all I am very pleased by Dell once again. I have also purchased an ATI 5770 graphics card to drive 3 of the 4 monitors.

After working with laptops for some years, I went on and built a desktop computer about 4 years ago, which included dual monitor setup. Two Dell 2407 monitors were my choice and haven't regretted at all. They have been excellent monitors throughout this time, offering plenty of workspace for either trading or multitabling at poker. I decided to buy 2 more monitors and setup a quad monitor setup. After a long research I chose once again 2 Dell Ultrasharp 2410 monitors, the newest model of my old monitors.

After deciding to upgrade my adsl line this week and moving up to 8Mbps, the maximum DSL speed available in my area, I encountered a lot of disconnections and finally my 2-year adsl router could not stay connected for more than 15 minutes. I had already done my online research on modem routers and had made my mind on the Draytek Vigor 2710Vn. I read a lot of good reviews about Draytek routers and although they are considered one of the most expensive broadband routers, I bought and installed mine today. I opted for the wireless router of the Draytek 2710 series which, apart from being a voip router, also offers N-draft (802.11n) connectivity. If you also deal with low adsl noise margin and high adsl attenuation, I highly recommend this wireless broadband modem router.

While I play online poker and my poker software imports hand histories, I noticed serious lag occasionally. I first thought it was due to hard disk performance but I found out that the CPU load reached 100% from time to time. The computer didn't respond for a couple of seconds and I was forced to sit out at the poker tables, losing money since my hands were automatically folded. To track down my machine's parts' speed and temperature I am using Lavalys Everest Ultimate Edition which can cooperate with my Logitech G15 keyboard.
