Since my
last blog entry almost 2 months ago, I have been playing poker a lot and also
started a new website with a friend of mine. I have lost interest in publishing
my poker results apart from the tournament ones, because I don't see how that
would be beneficial for my blog's readers. I'd rather post informative articles
which would be useful for anyone who wants to improve his poker skills or for
any newbie discovering this game nowadays.
I also met
a couple of Betfair employees who happen to have become good friends of mine
and we get to meet now and then. This time we didn't discuss something specific
but we more or so talked about the latest happenings in the gambling area.
Maybe it's because I have stopped trading the UK Horse racing markets in Betfair
and I have also abandoned all my betting activities, since poker consumes the
vast majority of my time. That may come as a surprise for most of my blog's
visitors, who keep on emailing me asking for betting or trading advice.
Certainly I haven't forgotten the gains or pitfalls of sports betting or
trading and I believe I can be of some help to anyone who tries them. However,
playing poker for so many hours and having read a lot of forum topics while
watching innumerous coaching videos mean that I have fresher knowledge and
information about poker than trading.
For
instance, to tell you the truth I really have no idea of how horse racing
markets behave nowadays. I have no clue what the latest trend is regarding
sports trading (I think everyone has tried to lay "Draw" before the kick-off
and trade off in-play or lay the "0-0" scoreline in every football game) and
don't know what the latest trading platforms' updates include. Last time I
checked, Bollinger bands and other trading tools were to be implemented in the
more sophisticated trading platforms designed for Betfair. I still believe
trading the Betfair's markets by making good use of the charts is the way to
go, but I'm not doing it anymore so can't comment more on that.

I try to
play poker for about 8 hours daily but of course that isn't the case when you
have a relationship, want to see friends and generally be social. Thankfully,
all the people who mean a lot to me know how important business is for me and
show great understanding. Additionally, living in a more healthy way has become
one of my priorities lately and for that reason I try to exercise a bit and
generally moving around more. Sitting on a chair in front of a computer for
long hours can be hazardous for one's health and I have started to realize it. So, I
purchased the latest release for Nintendo's console Wii, the Wii Fit.
It sure
was a bit pricey but it can put you on a schedule for daily exercising. When
you first fire up the game, it tells you if you are overweight or not and how
dangerous that is. By being 1.82m tall and weighing 95kg I am definitely in the
red zone. I am devoting about 1.5 hour each morning doing Yoga and muscle
exercises, aerobic and playing the entertaining balance games. My aim is to
lose more than 8kg in 2 months' time but I won't be disappointed if I won't
manage that. The fact alone that I don't sit in front of my computer immediately
after I wake up is by far a huge change to my way of living. Besides, I need to
reach 72kg to be in an ideal weight. Yeah, not in this lifetime I guess!

That is
about what is happening lately to my life for anyone who was interested. In the
future, I hope I'll have some interesting articles for you to read and inspire
more people to believe in themselves and be profitable. Best of luck to
everyone until next time!
My name is Jimmakos and I am a professional gambler since 2003. I played at the casinos' blackjack tables for a year and during the following 2.5 years I have been a Betfair trader trading the odds in the UK Horse Racing markets. Nowadays I'm playing online poker. Apart from online gambling, I also write for the Greek Betfair's Blog and own various websites.
